About Me

Who Am I?

In short, I am a massive Disney fan, prepared to live out a dream. My name is Andrew Wong, I am 21 years old and was born in New Jersey; to a mother born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts and a father who immigrated to the states from Hong Kong. I just completed my Bachelor's Degree in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. I loved my time at school and forged a connection with the school, city and state that will stay with me forever. The next stop on my journey is Walt Disney World participating in the Disney College Program for Fall 2015 as a Bell Service Dispatch/Greeter.
My past work experience started with an Associate Employee position at my local Panera Bread my senior year of high school, followed by two summers of life guarding. After that, I did an internship with my school, placing me at the Rhode Island Tourism Division, T.F. Green Airport and the Rhode Island State House, spread out over 10 weeks concluded by a week traveling around Ecuador. That summer I worked as a Front Desk Agent and the Hyatt Regency Newport in Newport, RI, was a Peer Tutor for my University during my final year there and this past summer I was a Sales Intern for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in New York City. Now I get to live out a dream working at a resort at The Most Magical Place on Earth, Walt Disney World!
I have been a fan of Disney for as long as I can remember, growing up with Pixar movies and classics like The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast, there has always been something about it that I enjoyed. On top of that I am a theme park junkie, so it only made sense that I would create and love for Walt Disney World ever since my first visit back in 1999. Since then I have been back twice, in 2003 and 2012; although I have not been as often as others, it has done nothing but create a constant desire to return.
I enjoy cooking, photography and hitting the gym to stay in shape. I was an athlete all through high school so staying active has always been a priority in my life. I have been cooking with parents for as long as I can remember and really got into photography with my brother back in high school and is a passion I carry with me today.
Post college program, pending my experience with it, I hope to build a career with Disney in their resorts. Hotels are a place I have always found a passion to work and create great guest experience so why not do it in The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    1. It depended on the shift, usually 9:30, 10:30 or midnight. Never later than midnight.
